This course is designed to gain understanding on various methodologies and policy applications of Health Technology Assessment (HTA), from assessment for establishing market viability of new technologies such as drugs, vaccines and traditional medicines, to assessment conducted to regulate existing technologies. It takes a broad view of the impact of health technologies on population and individual health. Emphasis is placed on the methods used to assess these health technologies including pharmacoeconomic analysis and evidence synthesis to inform government policy, clinical, pharmacy and public health practice.
