This course deals with the comprehensive study of nuclear medicine in both aspects of imaging and therapy. Specifically, it includes discussion of the physics of radioactivity, detection of radioactive sources, preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals, radiopharmacy, radioimmunoassay, instrumentation for imaging techniques, patient and personnel safety, imaging and therapy protocols, radioactive waste management, and quality management systems.
