This course deals with the basic statistical procedures necessary in the presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data. Specifically, this course will cover the concepts, sampling techniques, measures of central tendency, location and dispersion, data collection, testing of hypothesis, parametric and non-parametric tests for correlation and test of significant differences. Emphasis is on the need, importance and functional application statistics in health-related research and the statistical treatment of data in thesis preparation.
