It explores the fundamental concepts, principles, theories, and techniques essential to professional nursing practice, with emphasis on the diverse roles of the nurse within the health care setting. The course highlights health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation through the systematic application of the nursing process. The course develops students’ competencies in the systematic application of the nursing process and basic nursing skills as primary tools in delivering client-centered, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive care in various health care settings.
