Health Education focuses on the core concepts, principles, and theories of teaching and learning as they apply in clinical, community, and classroom settings. The course emphasizes the nurse’s vital role as an educator across diverse healthcare contexts, fostering critical thinking and the understanding of effective teaching–learning strategies responsive to individual and population health needs. Through experiential and application-based learning activities, students develop beginning competencies in designing, implementing, and evaluating health education and teaching plans using the nursing process as a systematic framework. These competencies are refined through classroom instruction and related learning experiences, preparing students for their evolving responsibilities as nurse educators and health advocates in professional nursing practice.
